This superb sparkling wine originates from the Limoux appellation in the Languedoc, Southern France, a region famous for pioneering sparkling wine. This Crémant is crafted using the traditional method from a sophisticated blend, typically featuring Chardonnay, Chenin Blanc, and Pinot Noir.
Aged for a minimum of 12 months, it displays a pale golden hue with a fine, lively stream of bubbles. The nose is elegant and complex, offering attractive aromas of green apple, white flowers, citrus peel, and light toasted notes. The palate is beautifully Brut (dry), fresh, and well-rounded, with a fine texture and a clean, refreshing finish.
This Crémant de Limoux is consistently highly rated for its finesse and value. It is a fantastic apéritif and pairs wonderfully with Mediterranean fare, grilled seafood, oysters, or mature goat's cheese.
