This characterful red wine originates from the sun-drenched island of Sicily, Southern Italy, produced under the sustainable Fedele label. It is a single-varietal expression, crafted entirely from 100% Nero d'Avola grapes, the island's most important indigenous red variety.
It presents an intense ruby-red colour with violet reflections. The nose is robust and inviting, offering classic aromas of black cherry, dark plum, liquorice, and a hint of Mediterranean spice. The palate is dry, medium-bodied, and beautifully balanced, featuring smooth tannins and a refreshing acidity that carries the dark fruit to a warm finish.
This Nero d'Avola is often certified organic and is praised for its purity and approachable style. It pairs excellently with rich, Mediterranean cuisine, including lamb, hearty pasta with ragu, aubergine dishes, or mature cheeses.
