Cynar Liqueur

Created in Venice in 1952, Cynar is a singular Italian artichoke liqueur that has gained a cult following for its unique savoury-sweet profile. Its secret formula includes an infusion of 13 different herbs and plants, most notably the leaves of the artichoke (Cynara scolymus), which provide the liqueur with its name and its distinctive botanical depth.

The liqueur has a dark, ebony-brown appearance with a medium body. On the nose, it offers an earthy and complex bouquet of caramel, dried fruits and dark chocolate, layered with subtle herbal and vegetal notes. The palate is wonderfully balanced, where an initial honeyed sweetness is quickly followed by a pleasant, lingering bitterness and a touch of woody spice.
