Babylonstoren Shiraz

This 2022 Shiraz is a premier example of South African winemaking, cultivated at the Babylonstoren estate against the dramatic backdrop of the Simonsberg mountains. After an extended maceration, the wine was aged for 18 months in French oak barrels to create a sophisticated, full-bodied red with an impressive ageing potential of up to ten years.

The wine displays a deep ruby red colour and a fruit-driven nose featuring cool cassis, pencil shavings and aromatic layers of black pepper. On the palate, it is finely crafted and velvety, revealing succulent notes of cherry, soft prune and blackcurrant.
