Nerello Mascalese `Logistilla` Luna Gaia

A very delightful wine and a family favourite. A hit since being introduced to the range in late '25.

This characterful red comes from the volcanic slopes of Sicily, where the indigenous Nerello Mascalese grape has thrived for centuries. Produced by the Luna Gaia collective using certified biodynamic and organic viticulture, the 2023 Logistilla is a pure expression of the island’s unique terroir and ancient winemaking traditions.

The wine opens with an enticing bouquet of wild strawberries, red cherries and fragrant violets, accented by hints of lavender and cinnamon. On the palate, it is medium bodied and remarkably elegant, offering a silky texture and a smoky mineral core. Ripe red fruit flavours are balanced by rustic earthy notes and a refreshing acidity that leads to a persistent, savoury finish.

This versatile Sicilian red is an excellent partner for Mediterranean tomato based pasta dishes, roasted chicken with herbs or aubergine moussaka. It can also be served lightly chilled alongside oily fish and charcuterie.
