Hailing from the mineral rich soils of the Simonsberg mountains, the 2023 Babylonstoren Cabernet Sauvignon is a complex and full bodied red crafted from eight distinct vineyard blocks. Matured for 18 months in a combination of new and seasoned French oak barrels, this wine is a stellar choice for celebrations and fine dining alike.
The wine displays a deep crimson red colour with an aromatic bouquet of red plum and blueberry, accented by notes of sweet tobacco and cedarwood. On the palate, it is soft and multi layered, offering a fusion of dark cherries and cassis. A velvety texture and well rounded tannins provide an elegant structure that leads to a long, persistent finish.
